Scent Profile: Apple Brandy, Pink Pepper, Cardamom, Sage, Rum, Vanilla, Styrax, Tobacco, Cedar, Oakmoss

OOOOOOO that opening! The apple brandy and pink pepper jump out immediately and it's absolutely fantastic. This isn't some generic apple candy fragrance either—it genuinely smells like apple brandy. The pink pepper and cardamom bring a warm, spicy character that makes the opening feel rich, refined, and incredibly unique.

As Ophanim develops, the vanilla, sage, and rum begin to emerge, adding just the right amount of sweetness and warmth. It's never gourmand, but it softens the sharper spices beautifully and creates an incredibly smooth transition into the heart of the fragrance.

One note that really shines here is the styrax. For those unfamiliar, styrax is a complex balsamic resin known for its blend of warmth, sweetness, spice, and subtle leathery undertones. I catch hints of it throughout the fragrance, and it adds a gorgeous depth that elevates the entire composition.

What really surprised me is how long the apple brandy sticks around. Even deep into the dry down, it's still detectable, lending a subtle sweetness that helps lift all the spicy, earthy, and woody elements surrounding it.

The base is where everything comes together. Tobacco, cedar, and oakmoss create an outstanding blend of sweet, smoky, earthy, and woody notes that make this fragrance incredibly wearable. The cedar and oakmoss are the stars of the base while the tobacco peeks through just enough to keep things interesting.

Like many Felis Umbra creations, the longevity is absolutely outstanding albeit shorter than usual due to the nature of the scent. I'm consistently getting 6-7 hours of wear, and honestly, you'll probably want to reapply before then—not because you need to, but because it smells that good.

Overall Rating: 8.8/10 ⭐

I continue to be impressed by everything Wyatt creates. If you haven't checked out Felis Umbra Parfums yet, now is a great time. He's currently running a HUGE sale on his excised (discontinued) scents at 30% off. While I'm sad to see some of them go, Wyatt has proven time and time again that when one great scent leaves, something even better is waiting around the corner.

Be sure to grab Ophanim, check out the new releases, and scoop up those excised scents while they're still available. And if you'd like to support me, use code "GRIZZLY" to save 15% off everything else (cannot be combined with the 30% discount).

Seriously, go try some of these incredible fragrances. You will NOT regret it.
