C by 8Bit Beard Co was an absolute winner for me right from the very first application. This is a dark, smooth, incredibly well-balanced scent that delivers an outstanding wearing experience from start to finish.

The cherry and blueberry immediately take center stage when you first apply it, and what a fantastic combination it is. Both fruits are vibrant, rich, and authentic smelling, creating a sweet but refined opening that feels perfect for starting the day. Neither fruit overpowers the other, and together they create an incredibly enjoyable blend that feels unique and inviting.

As the scent settles in, the tobacco leaf begins to emerge with its earthy, slightly sweet, and rich character. This is where the scent really starts to show its masculine side. What I appreciate most is that the tobacco never dominates the profile. Instead, it works alongside the cherry and blueberry, allowing those fruit notes to continue shining while adding depth and sophistication to the overall blend.

A little later, the soft smoke enters the picture, bringing just enough charred character to round everything out. It's subtle, smooth, and perfectly executed. Rather than covering up the other notes, the smoke enhances them, creating a wonderfully layered scent profile where every component gets its chance to shine. Even several hours after application, I could still pick up both the cherry and blueberry, which speaks volumes about how well this fragrance was crafted.

The carrier blend deserves praise as well. Featuring babassu, castor, golden jojoba, abyssinian, hemp seed, avocado, and cucumber seed oils, this is a fantastic combination that absorbs quickly, leaves the beard feeling incredibly soft, and provides excellent nourishment throughout the day. The balance of the oil blend is every bit as impressive as the fragrance itself.

As far as longevity goes, I found the scent lasted approximately 5–6 hours. Could a matching cologne push that even further? Absolutely. But it's important to remember that this is a beard oil, not a cologne, and beard oils naturally contain a lower fragrance concentration. Longevity can also vary significantly from person to person. For what this product is designed to do, I was very pleased with its performance.

If I had one minor critique, it would be that the scent concentration in the butter wasn't quite as strong as I personally prefer. I could definitely smell it, but it didn't project as boldly as the oil itself. That said, it certainly wasn't enough to take away from the overall experience.

Overall, C earns a very solid 8.5/10 from me. Between the outstanding fruit-and-tobacco blend, the expertly balanced smoke note, and the excellent carrier oil formula, this is a scent that beard enthusiasts should absolutely have on their radar. If you're a fan of fruit scents, tobacco scents, or simply well-crafted fragrances in general, do yourself a favor and give this one a try. This was my first experience with this scent from 8Bit Beard Co, and it left me genuinely excited to dive into the rest of their lineup.
